Groupon Coupon Shopping
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Groupon, all opinions are my own.

So if you have been following Exquisitely Unremarkable for any period of time, you know that I'm all about simple and inexpensive DIY. Well, actually, I try to run my whole life like that...no matter what I'm doing, I want it to be easy to accomplish and I always want a great deal.

This is especially true when it comes to shopping. Parking? Fighting crowds? Lugging stuff to my car and then in my house? Nope, nope and nope.

I do most of it online.

And I always use a coupon. Of course, that part isn't always as simple as I'd like it to be. I usually have to go searching around the internet to get the right deal.

No so easy.

Well, this week, I found out that Groupon offers online coupons to many of my favorite retailers!

Who knew?

I have always used them for great local deals, but now I am using them to find awesome discounts at my favorite stores when I shop the web!

And just in the knick of time, since I have a kid leaving for college in a few weeks.

Last night we ordered the most beautiful bedding and accessories from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Today we're shopping at Barnes and Noble and you know I have a coupon for those textbooks! As a matter of fact, Groupon has several offers for each store and it's all organized for me in one place.

Plus it's free.

Fabulous...and super simple.

Just the way I like it!

Do you Groupon?

  2. Hi Kim,
I need to check into Groupon. Frankly I thought they were mainly for eating out, which I don't do very often. I'm with you on the shopping...ugh...traffic...NO....crowds...NO...if I gotta do that, I just don't go unless I HAVE to have it.

  7. I hate to be stupid but I'm not sure how Groupon works. I get notices from them and I have seen a few things I like but I never clicked because I didn't know how to pay, was there a charge for mailing, etc. etc. etc. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    1. So as a teacher, I can tell you, there is no such thing as a stupid question! I am happy to help if I can. :) Groupon offers a lot of different kinds of deals. It's easiest if you set up an account, log in, browse around. If you want merchandise advertised there, you can buy directly from the site, I believe there is free shipping over a certain price point of $34.99. For local coupon deals, you purchase through the website, and receive an email with your coupon. For online deals, you click on the deal you want to activate it, then follow the link to the retailer and shop directly from there. I know that they have great customer support, including a phone number and a live chat feature to get assistance. I hope that helps!! Happy Shopping!! :)

  9. I don't know what I would do without online shopping on the mountain top - Amazon is pretty much my BFF, and I've recently discovered JET also. Awesome pricing! Walmart delivers right to my door, and clothes? Oh yeah, I try them on right in my bedroom, and if I don't like them, back they go!!

    1. Definitely the clothes thing, Deb!! I cannot stand trying on in the store anymore. I like door to door service and if I hate it (in the privacy of my own home!) I ship it back!! : )

  10. I agree, Teri, I am much more thoughtful about my spending when I am at home. Somehow when I am out, things just hop in my cart, but online, they are much better behaved!! ;)

  11. My kids are huge online shoppers. I rarely do it. I just don't need to buy much. I should be down sizing, but I still enjoy the junk hunt. lol!

  14. I've never tried Groupon but I also do most of my shopping online. I tell my husband "I'm going shopping" and he knows that means heading to my computer. And you know what, it tires me out enough, even with the very little shopping I do now. I can't imagine going from store to store anymore.

  19. Hi Kim, This is great. I became a fan of on line shopping for some time. You are right, it is a big savings and so many offer free shipping too. Having a shop on line myself, I try and patronize here first when I can. Everything from clothes, shoes, my favorite perfume and art supplies to name a few are things I shop for on line!

  26. Thank you for this reminder for me. I've used it in the past and I keep forgetting to check it before ordering anything. I'm like you about shopping, online is so much easier; I rarely go to the mall and only go to local stores when I have to.
