30 Easy Ways To Decorate For Fall

That festive fall feeling begins before you even enter the house with this quick garden flag craft. Place it on on your front porch or stoop to welcome guests.

Couple it with this white pumpkin wreath for a real pop on your front door.

All you need is a few dollar store pumpkins and a glue gun transform your summer door decor into a fall showstopper.

Once inside, you can tour the living room and pick up a few tips to bring fall into your own space.

Pumpkins and Roses For Fall Decorating

I decorated my kitchen for fall, with natural elements and it cost me less than ten bucks.  It was a lovely look, plus I had very little buy or to store.

My fall kitchen decor for last year was equally as simple, but different. I like to switch it up from year to year.

As much as I adore my kitchen, sometimes it's fun to eat elsewhere.

This year, I set a rustic and romantic fall table for two in front of the fire. Who says you always need to eat in the dining room?

Of course, for larger gatherings the kitchen or dining room is a more practical option.

And you can make more room for the turkey by adding levels to your serving space.

I made this sweet table riser from a thrift store find.

Speaking of that Thanksgiving table, it's always dressed to impress. But on a budget and in unique ways.

For example, each guest receives a puzzle piece place card as a party favor.

The idea for them was born in my kindergarten classroom.

We used to make simple  puzzle piece pumpkin frames. I just adapted the craft to decorate my home in a variety of ways.

Easy, elegant and upcycled!

Of course, pumpkins in general are a seasonal favorite. I pepper them around my house in many forms. One of my favorites in a little unorthodox.

I mounted a pumpkin napkin in a dollar store splatter screen.

Whimsical and unexpected.

I gave a few Dollar Tree pumpkins a simple painted makeover. Who says fall crafts have to be complicated?

Outside, we created a floral pumpkin planter for a front porch or garden. It was a fun way to add a little decor outside and watch it bloom.

Back inside, there were more pumpkins on the table.

And right next to the vintage look Thanksgiving dictionary page place cards. No books were damaged in the creation of these classic name tags.

Plus if you use my tip, you really only need to make one.

Fall is also the perfect time of year to display this cookie jar pumpkin vase,

...and this pumpkin made from old ceiling fan blades.

Old ceiling blades are the perfect palette for seasonal artwork. Plus their shape mimics that of wooden signs.

Which also makes them ideal for stenciling crafts. I just added the words Welcome Fall to create these sweet wooden door tags.

No power tools needed, like my my DIY wooden cake stand

It was another easy, no fuss project, just paint, glue and display.

Of course, I'm not adverse to all power tools, I did use a drill to create this elegant wooden leaf banner for my fireplace mantel.

You can do without though, check out the post for similar supplies.

I made this simple fall book page leaf banner using a free website.

Again, no books were destroyed in this project.

I also whipped up this cute fall burlap pumpkin banner.

A few pieces of colorful scrapbook paper and leftover sewing trim and I was in business.

Moving toward Halloween my banners get a little more spooky with the addition of ghosts.

And a little help from a package of dollar store goodie bags.

Clearly, I'm kind of a banner junkie, so I made another small garland for Thanksgiving with dollar bin letters.

This one was just the right size to add to small spaces.

And place on wreaths.

I even updated it this year, by adding a few dollar store leaves.

So simple to dress up and down.

Changes the whole look.

To add some texture to the season, I taught myself how to embroider with yarn and felt.

Seriously.

If I can do this, you can do it, too.

Framed art is a wonderful way to add seasonal flair.

And it doesn't have to cost anything to make.

Candles cozy up a cold fall evening.

Here are some of the ways I use candles in my fall decor.

Always, always battery operated, by the way...just safer when working with crafts.

Pillows create a cozy feel, as well.

I stenciled these rustic pillows in no time flat.

I called them rooster pillows (silly, suburban girl), but we all know they're chickens!

And since we're discussing adorable decor, why not take a peek at my upcycled Halloween Ghost Lanterns?

Their sweet smiles are just darling during the day and light up the night with the help of a small votive.

Lastly, my one of my favorite ways to add charm to any room is with a simple wooden sign.

This was one of the first times I cheated my way to perfect letters with a sticker.

And no, I didn't make the wreath, but you can find it on my shop in the menu above.

Phew!

You made it!

Thrifty different ways to add a little bit of fall to your home.

Super easy and super cheap.

Because after all, is there really any reason for it to be any other way?

Happy fall!
