Updating the look of your bathroom is as easy as swapping out that shower curtain. A new shower curtain is all it takes to spruce up an old space. Transform your bathroom in less than ten minutes and take your bathroom from boring to breathtaking. I am never happy with status quo for very long. I like change when it comes to my home decor and while I may not do much seasonal decorating in a traditional sense. I definitely fluff and swap in just about every room when the weather starts to change. I'm not into big renovations, I don't have the patience or the time, but I want a dramatic change for my efforts. The best way to achieve that in the bathroom, hands down, is by replacing the shower curtain. So I did.
So I have a new tulip banner to welcome spring! Are you surprised? Of course not. If you're a longtime reader you already know that I'm slightly obsessed with banners and garlands. If you are new here, welcome! I'm Kim and I'm slightly obsessed with banners and garlands! Why you ask?
I have written before about how one decor item can change the entire look and feel of a room. Sometimes, it's a deliberate purchase. You are searching for the perfect accent and that one piece completes the look. Other times, a new addition causes a stir. You find something fabulous when window shopping, a total must have, but it doesn't exactly go with your existing decor or in my case, you receive a gift and it forces you to make a lot of kitchen decorating decisions.
So I want to thank everyone for all of the lovely comments and sweet wishes left for me as I celebrated my three year blog anniversary last week. I'm excited that so many of you decided to enter the giveaway. I had entries in the comments, on Facebook and via email, as a bunch of new people signed up to receive my posts. Thank you. I was counting and recording entries all week long!
I got a new ironing board and heat resistant iron store and I'm in love. Who knew ironing could be so much fun? A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece about my very practical, if somewhat less than pretty, laundry room. Well, the use of the word very may not have been super accurate. You see, when it came to washing and drying or getting in and out of the room in the dark, baskets in hand, it was a very practical space. When it came to ironing, an essential part of the laundry process...eh, not so much.
My itty bitt blog is three today. Well, it was Saturday, but it's close enough. Yup. Three. How is that even possible? Where did the time go? Wasn't it just yesterday when I was sitting at my desk at 1am trying to get things in my sidebar to line up straight? Me.The girl who had no knowledge of sidebars, coding, clickable links, copyright laws, feeds, commenting etiquette or linky parties...nothing in this mysterious world of blogging I had so blindly entered.
I was in the store last week and this bright blue Easter bunny caught my eye in the gift bag aisle, that cute little face was peeking at me. I knew immediately he would look great on my front door welcoming guests this spring...especially for Easter brunch.
