My kitchen cabinets were chipping and I used a paint pen to fix the damaged doors. The were as good as new in a jiffy. It was a quick and easy repair. Come see how we did it and what exactly we used. Are there things you would never to do your home in the name of resale? I say decorate and enjoy the home you're in. But never do these three things. Is there anything you'd never, ever do to your home? As you can imagine, after years of writing, I've received my fair share of home decor and renovation comments and questions. One of the most frequent inquiries I receive is from people who want to know if there's anything I wouldn't do to my house, because of resale. And my answer is always, always a very definitive no. There is nothing I wouldn't do to my home in the name of resale.
Ah, March. In like a lion and out like a lamb, or so they say. However, I have always found the month to be much less reliable than that old saying would have me believe. This March, for example, has it all backwards. It came in like a lovely little lamb, sunny and sixty degrees, daffodils and crocuses confused and blooming in my yard, Then bam! Lion. Snow, sleet, hail and freezing temps that closed schools, shut down mass transit and sent everyone scurrying to the store for provisions. Including me.
The other day I was in town and I had a few minutes to kill in between appointments, so I decided to stop into my local thrift shop. Based on past experience , I didn't have high hopes, but much to my surprise I found a small galvanized metal bucket. It was the perfect size to hold my beloved tulips and I thought it would look very sweet with a label of some sort slapped on the front.
Need to fix a broken zipper or add a zipper to a pillow or garment after the sewing is done? No problem. Here how to do it, even if you're not an experienced sewer. I am a very impulsive crafter. I'm all about the endgame. I get an idea in my head, want it done immediately and dive in without really thinking all of the steps through. I sew without patterns, cook without recipes and create on the fly.
Turns out I knew everything I needed to know about blogging, before I even started. Well almost everything. Do I really even need to continue writing? I mean, you know where I'm going with this. Everyone's familiar with that saying. Aren't they? No? Yes? Well, for the benefit of the few that may not be acquainted, I'll explain, especially since Sunday is my four year blogging anniversary. Anniversaries are always a good time for reflection.
