A Little Bit Of Love For Valentine's Day

February 04, 2020

February is all about love.

And all about red.

Here are some great ways to decorate your home for the season of love with my favorite color.

Plus a chance to decorate you!

Vera Bradley Carson Mini Hobo Cardinal Red

Hello Friends!

I'm popping in quick today to share a little bit of love in the form of a Vera Bradley Handbag Giveaway!!

That's right, today I'm giving you the chance to win this brand new Vera Bradley Carson Mini Hobo in Cardinal Red.
Red. Shocking. I know.

When I saw it in the store, I just couldn't walk away.

Of course, I already own a few too many red Vera bags, I definitely didn't need another one, but I bought it anyway.

For you!

Inside, there's a zippered pocket and two open pockets.

What's the occasion, you ask?

No, it's not my blog anniversary, that's next month, but it's February...a leap year, Valentine's Day and the season of love.

And I think it's safe to say that red reigns supreme for the next few weeks.

So why not.

It's that cold and dark time of year when we all need a little pick me up and so I'm tossing out this brand new bag, like confetti, to lighten the mood, since I can't actually lighten the days.

On the side of the bag, there's another zippered compartment for your phone or keys.

Plus, it's a great opportunity for me to say thank you to everyone who pops by Exquisitely Unremarkable to read whatever I decide to put down on virtual paper on a given day.

Week after week, year after year.

I'm unbelievably grateful for your visits and completely humbled by your responses every time I hit publish. The comments and interactions mean more to me than you'll ever know.

After all, writing with no response is like talking to yourself.

And that's no fun. 😉

This giveaway is closed. Kathy E is our winner!

Valentine's Day Inspiration

I'd also like to share a few ways I'm cheering up my home during this season of love. A few quick and easy ways to make it feel a little more festive.

And a chance to showcase my favorite decor color.

Red!

My red hydrangea wreath is perfect all year round, but as Valentine's Day approaches, it shines even more.

If flowers are your thing, then great. I have more.

How about a few DIY red rose floral candle rings. They add candlelight with flair and what could be more romantic than that?

Want to whip up a little bit of sweetness for your sweetie? How about some cupcakes with an super simple heart topper

Well then, grab a stencil, a few pretty liners and you're in business.

One of my favorite ways to add a little festivity to my home overall is with a banner and I have several of those for Valentine's Day.

My first is my favorite.

A puzzle piece banner is red and pink. This one came right out of my kindergarten plan book. it's that easy to make.

I do have others that are just as charming though, if puzzle pieces aren't your thing. I make them out of everything.

Perhaps you're looking for something a little more cuddly! Then you could whip up a Valentine angel doll

An old sock is all you need to get started. SO sweet.

Of course, if crafts aren't your thing, you might just want to settle in with a classic romantic comedy. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those.

However, I do have a ridiculously funny tale about the day I lost my underwear at Kmart. Yup.

This girl. With my kids. Shopping for Valentines.

Not so funny at the time...but now, in hindsight, it's very funny.

Enjoy!!

Happy Valentine's Day friends!!
