I need to cover my window above the air conditioner. I want light to filter in but can't hang curtains because of the window AC unit. I have sheers but never thought of cutting them and attaching with Velcro. I'm on the look out now for some real linen (it's going to be costly) to make a curtain to go over out TV. We currently have a curtain there, but it's a shiny fabric that has been the "culprit" that is the main feature as to why I'm not satisfied with how our great room looks. The texture is not right for the French Country feel I want...I'm almost there, but texture of fabric is key and now I know!
