For over a decade now, as the year draws to a close, I like to revisit the crafts, DIYs and tales that were most popular over the last 12 months.
And reshare them.
I tell myself that perhaps you missed one, or it wasn't relevant at the time. Or maybe you weren't a follower in January or February...or July.
But to be honest, this annual round up is secretly for me. It's my chance look back, take stock and see what I accomplished over the last 12 months, because to be honest, sometimes I forget what I wrote about.

I know it sounds silly, but it's true.
I also find it incredibly fascinating to see what posts received the most visits and interaction. I always try to guess what topics will end up on the short list.
And 99% of the time, I'm way off.
For example, I was sure that my tattooed pumpkins would've made the cut.
Along with my glass bunny plates for Easter. They were just such pretty projects.
But nope they weren't even close. Ah well, I guess you never can tell...which makes this particular post the most interesting one of the year for me.
And for you? Well, here's the list!
The Top Ten Reader Favorites Of 2025
10. July Thrifting Finds

9. Ceiling Fan Blade Ideas

Better yet, it reminded me that there's so many more things I could do with them. Now I just need to find more old fans!
8. Vintage Lamp Makeover

However, once I figured out what to do with it, I was off and running with a battery operated bulb and a little Rub 'n Buff.
7. Where Do You Hang The Curtain Rod?

Oh, those curtain rods. They've been a hot topic in recent years. Articles declaring that they should always be hung way above the window are everywhere. I mean, honestly, I find most articles about decorating rules to be full of nonsense. You should decorate the way you like - the end - that's always been my mantra.
But. This one really irked me, because that so called rule doesn't work in all houses for a variety of reasons...and it doesn't mean you can't have a beautiful home.
6. DIY Thermostat Cover

A thrifted shadow box gave me the opportunity to use some of my beloved rose wallpaper and hide my ugly thermostat during the summer months.
It was a quick and easy DIY and clearly one that caught a lot of attention.
5. True Love At The Thrift Store

Halfway through the list, we pause for more thrift finds. I have to admit, this haul was one of my all time favorites. I've already either used or displayed most of these items...and what I haven't had a chance to makeover yet, is on the short list for 2026.
Did you have a favorite item?
4. Mother Is That You?

This was a super sentimental post about my mom, a migraine and a whole bunch of ladybugs. Lot of visits and lots of comments. Did you weigh in?
3. The Easiest Pillow Cover

Ah, pillow covers. My nemesis. I love making them, because I can create lovely, custom pillows to match my decor on a budget.
I hate making them, because, well, I'm not a very accomplished seamstress. I can sew, just not what you might call the right way. So when I found this super simple method to cover a pillow, with two different fabrics if you choose, I was hooked.
2. Simple Lamp Update

I had a feeling this one would be on the list. Lamp updates are always popular and there's no easier way to update a thrifted light fixture than with a sticker.
Well, a sticker and a new lampshade...but it's mostly about the sticker.
1. Lace Plate

Dishes of any kind are my weakness, but glass plates are my favorite. They're a blank canvas just waiting for a chance to shine. Combined with a simple doily, I turned this one into a charming display or serving piece for any season.
Simple, elegant and super easy to do.
I guess it's really no surprise it was the most popular post of the year.
Of course, that was only a sample of the almost 60 posts I wrote this year.
And only a fraction of what I wanted to share. My how the year does fly by...
Hopefully, I'll get to more of that list in 2026.
☺️
In the meantime, I'd like to thank you for all the visits, comments, emails and smiles sent my way in 2025. Without you, there'd be no list to share.
As I've said from the start, talking to yourself is no fun...it's you who makes this space what it is and I'm truly humbled and grateful for every single interaction.
Wishing you all a calm and happy last few days of the year and nothing but the best in 2026.
Cheers!! 🥂

I remember all of these. You are so crafty and the best person to relove old treasures into new treasures. Wow a new year is just down the way. Let's hope for lots of fun and inspirational things to do in the new year. Happy New Year. Hugs. Kris
