The Mollie Ollie Mimmo Caddy is the perfect tote for all my paint supplies. Keeps them organized and moves with me from room to room.

Plus it's pretty.

Sometimes the heart is a little bit ahead of the brain. Love often works that way, doesn't it?

It starts with a tiny flutter, perhaps one that comes out of left field.

But before you know it, everything comes together and it all makes sense.

I think that's what been going on around here.

With my new passion for teal.

Last week, I shared that I'd bought new mugs in the color. It was the first time I'd dipped my toe into that color pool. Or so I thought.

Then a few days later a box showed up at my front door with another teal treasure inside.

It was a bright, happy, fabulously teal tote from a small company, called Mollie Ollie.

A few months ago they reached out to see if I'd like to try their Mimmo Caddy and I jumped at the chance.

I'd actually been looking for some way to keep all my paint by number supplies more organized. Frankly, my ziploc solution wasn't cutting it.

Paint By Numbers Supplies in a ziploc bag

Let's face it, somewhere between my first paint by numbers kit and my Christmas kit, I've collected...some stuff.

Well, right out of the box, I knew I was headed in a better direction, since the Mimmo Caddy was infinitely more appealing.

That lovely teal exterior and soft rose interior was pretty enough to leave out on the counter or the kitchen table all the time, which is huge in this tiny cottage.

It was also very sturdy, another big plus since I planned to load it up with everything I needed to get me from first brush stroke to framed beauty.

It's constructed from a heavy duty and chemical free felt. I could tell that right away since there was no smell and the material was super soft.

And it's very well made.

When I placed it on the table to organize my supplies, it stood up straight and held its shape even when empty. That was great, too.

It meant I didn't need to weigh it down while I was placing things inside and it didn't collapse and upset my organization when I removed things. Love that.

To be honest, up until now, I've had paints and brushes in that old plastic bag, paintings rolled up in a corner of the living room, paper towels were in the hall closet, along with the cups.

My light was in my desk drawer and the magnifying glass was...well, you get the picture.

Most days, when the creative urge struck, I spent more time gathering my supplies than I did painting.

So once the caddy showed up, I was ready to load it up with supplies, so everything was in one place...and I did not hold back.

Paint brushes in teal storage caddy

Not only did every rolled canvas, paint pod, brush and accessory have its own space, there was still plenty of room left to house my water cups and a roll of paper towels.

A roll of paper towels people. That's amazing to me.

Plus, the two strong, double stitched, sturdy handles were so long, I could carry my caddie around without squishing or creasing my precious painting. Or those paper towels.

One of my other favorite features was the zippered compartment.

It had elastic straps that allowed me to tuck my car keys, lip balm, glasses and other small accessories inside in case if I wanted to take my paintings on the road.

And now that I can bring my supplies with me in an organized and stylish fashion, I just might.

I can picture it now, painting on the beach.

Canvas on an easel and a brush in my hand.

The smell of salt and sand.

And me in a big teal hat.

It's available from Amazon right here.

Now I know I'm all about the teal/ rose combo, but it you're more of a neutral fan, it does come in grey felt with a turquoise lining.

Of course, if you can't decide between these two beauties, you could just get one of each...teal for spring/ summer and grey for fall/ winter.

Because there's always tons of stuff to organize.

And well, love is fickle.

What would you pop inside?

  4. Wow, that is a great little piece, Kim. I could use it for my magazines "on the road". Since I am usually the designated dog sitter on hot days in the car, I love to have something to read. Mine are always stuffed into the sides of the door and then you can imagine the potty mouth when the hubby tries to shut or open the door. This way I could have it loaded up and ready to go when needed and easy to bring back inside. I think I am going to indulge..Thanks my friend..xxoJudy

    1. Judy, that sounds like a great idea. We could use a car caddy, as well. My kids have water bottles and iPhone chargers, granola bars and lip glosses floating all over the back seat of my car after a long trip. You are a genius my friend. May need to grab another for myself!! xo
