White pitchers are my favorite decor accessory.

They work with all styles and in all settings from cottage to modern.

Whether you fill them with flowers are leave them on their own.

Come see how I use them...

 I'm addicted to white pitchers.

There's something about their shape that I find completely irresistible and if you walked into my home, that fact is very evident, as they are peppered all over the place.

What's the attraction?

Why exactly am I so smitten?

Hmmm. I'm not sure I can really put it into words.

But you know I'm going to try.

It's kind of a visceral thing. They're my favorite decor accessory.

Hands down.

I'm immediately drawn in whenever I spot one.

Old or new, it doesn't matter, they ooze warmth and cottage style charm. I just have to hold them.

Plus, they're extremely versatile and while they can be pricey, I have never paid more than ten bucks for one.

I pick them up at yard sales, discount stores and thrift shops and even though this tiny cottage can't hold a lot, I will alway make room for another pitcher.

Told you. Addiction.

I have them in in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Of course, I don't limit my white pitcher collection to the kitchen. This ridged beauty decorates my bedroom.

I have to agree there is nothing like white dishes - or in this case a white pitcher. What a great addiction to have!

    1. Hi there, so happy to hear that you like my valance and the chicken placement. Thank you. I actually made both of them. There are tutorials on my site if you are a DIYer. The placemat was made with the Dominique Chicken stencil from a company called Cutting Edge Stencils. I hope that helps. And as far as what else could go in the pitchers, I will work on it. I have actually seen some pretty neat things. I tend to like flowers so I stick to them, but great post idea. Thanks!

  39. I have always liked pitchers of any color but since simplifying I wanted to go with white. My problem is finding them inexpensive. I haven't found one yet that is $10. Even the Amazon advert on this site shows them at $15 on up. Where did you find them that cheap?
