It was a quiet afternoon.  We visited my mom at the nursing home , ate, took a walk and then decided we were bored. So we hit the only place that was open. While we were there, my daughter ordered green tea with coconut and couldn't stop raving about it.  I kept the tea tag so I could remember the brand and flavor, tucked it into a drawer and forgot about it.

So I've been talking a lot about thrift stores and my fun finds lately . Hunting for treasure and then displaying it in my home or transforming it into something new has become somewhat of a passion . I enjoy browsing and I love every square inch of my thrift store. I dig deep into each and every corner. Well, almost every corner. True confession? I stay far, far away from the fashion.

When I was a little girl my mom shared a story about a friend who had fresh flowers delivered to her home on a regular basis. She was rather well off and her home was her haven, so she would drop several containers off at the florist each week and they would return them to her brimming with color. I always thought that was the coolest thing.

Why exactly am I so smitten? Hmmm. I'm not sure I can really put it into words.  But you know I'm going to try.

Oh spring, spring. Wherefore art thou spring? This is the thought that's been running through my head several times a day since March arrived. In like a lion and all that jazz. A little dramatic? Yes, probably. But I'm impatient and ready for warmer, sunnier, flower filled days and Mother Nature is not cooperating. Again.

Summer is the best time to shop at yard sales. If you look hard enough there's always a treasure hiding. Come check out the pretties I've found! Let's be honest. The last thing I need around this teeny, tiny cottage is more stuff. And yet. When the warm months roll around and people start lining their driveways with items they no longer want and a big sign that says, SALE, I can't help myself. The urge to buy is strong.
