When I started blogging, exactly 13 years ago this month, I decorated for very few holidays.
Oh sure, I had a heart wreath for Valentine's Day, a Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween and Christmas was always a big event.
But overall, seasonal and everyday decor was my primary focus.

And began creating my own decorations for just about every holiday on the calendar.
Including Easter.
I mean who could resist all those cute bunnies?
Actually, I became so smitten, I think I have almost as many Spring and Easter DIYs as I do for Christmas.
DIY Home Decor Easter Decorations
Over the years I've created everything from charming thrift flips, dollar store crafts and budget versions of a few high end designs.
And whether you're looking for wall decor, front door decorations, banners, table settings or just some adorable bunnies, there's something here for everyone.
And all of them can be done with beginner crafting skills.
So let's take a peek!
Adorable DIY Easter Banners
I adore banners, because they're so versatile, decorating everything from kitchen hoods, fireplace mantels, doorways and stairways.Plus, they're super easy to make and with a little imagination, you can whip one using just about anything that makes you smile.
Rustic Wooden Bunny Banner
I picked up these wooden Easter ornaments at the dollar store. The staining was messy, but totally worth it, because in under an hour, I had an elegant spring addition to my fireplace mantel.

Greeting Card Easter Banner
This is a perfect example of using nontraditional craft supplies to create a banner. I picked up these greeting cards for a song and strung them up.
So adorable and sturdy, that years later, they're still decorating my home for the season.

I couldn't find a use for these pretty blue and green fabric scraps in my mostly red living room, but turns out they were the perfect pattern for Easter. Dressed up with a few buttons, it made the most darling banner.
Pop over and grab the pattern to make your very own.

Spring Transfer Banner
Speaking of darling, that's the ideal way to describe the banner I made last year with a few peel and stick transfers.
Quick, easy, inexpensive, full of cottage charm, and like I said...darling.

Yarn Carrot Easter Banner
My mom always said waste not, want not, so after I used another set of greeting cards to make a Valentine banner, I was left with a bunch of envelopes.
They became the base of of my carrot garland and I think they look great.

For The Easter Table
Hosting Easter brunch? Perfect. I have ideas for your table, as well. Whether you want to display your eggs, create your own place setting cards or make a few plates, I've got you covered.Easter Bunny Glass Plates
Easter dishes are all the rage, but instead of purchasing a set, I made my own using thrift store glass plates.
Since the napkin is on the back of the plate, they were food safe and ready for dinner.
I will admit that this DIY was a bit of a challenge, but so worth it. My table looked fabulous.

Bunny Brunch Table Decor
If an Easter brunch is more your style, I have several ways to decorate the table using old jars, stickers and printables.

Easter Egg Holder
I also have a DIY to show you how to make your very own rustic wooden egg holder. It's also food safe and so whether you want to display your faux eggs or real one, you're all set.

Pastel Clipboard Name Card Holders
These wooden clipboard frames were found at a thrift store, but I've seen them at the dollar stores, as well. Stenciled or painted, they make great name card holders.
They can also be used as a festive way to decorate a buffet table or dessert stand with artwork of your choice.

Crafty DIY Easter Home Decor
Here come the crafts. Decoupage, Dollar Tree, paint, hot glue and a pair of sewing projects, just to keep it interesting.Darling Easter Bunny Transfer Dishes
Now, these plates happen to be my favorites, but they're strictly for decor since the transfers are on the front. Definitely not food safe.
However, they certainly pack a punch of Easter color anyplace you display them...and who could resist that sweet bunny's face? Certainly not me.

Tin Tile Bunny Wreath
This tin tile bunny doesn't have a face, but it doesn't make him any less sweet. Plus, pairing him with an old wreath was a quick and economical way to decorate my front door.
The DIY was simple and with a dollar store faux tile, it can be used for almost any holiday once you know the steps.

DIY Designer Eggs
Ah, eggs, a staple of Easter decor.
These particular ones lived in my brain for years before I attempted making my own. I'd seen versions of them in a high end catalog and fell in love. I knew I could make something similar, I just needed to work up the nerve to try.
Turns out, they weren't that difficult to construct and totally worth the wait.

My DIY Don't - Decoupage Eggs
Ok, so these eggs were more of a fail and pivot, than a screaming success.
In the end, I was able to make lemonade from my lemon of a craft, but it isn't a decoupaging eggs is so easy kind of post. It's actually a cautionary tale.
However, if you're up for a dose of crafting reality, you just might enjoy this one.

Aged Terracotta Pot Egg Holders
And it wasn't a total loss. They really are lovely. So every year I put out those old decoupage eggs, the ones I suffered through making...but the year I aged a few mini terracotta pots to place them in, was my favorite.
Somehow those pots, elevated my crafty fail and made them look amazing. So now they're a spring staple in my house.

Easter Bunny Ribbon Wreath
I don't decorate with pastel colors very often. Well, not since my girls were very little anyway, but this little guy caught my attention in the store, and I couldn't leave without him.
Turns out, I was way more taken with those soft colors than I remember. He really upped my curb appeal and all my supplies were from Dollar Tree. A bargain.

Gift Bag Wooden Sign
Sometimes I get bored of placing wreaths on my front door and I decorate it with a little out of the box thinking. Like the time I used a gift bag.
It's a super easy way to create a wooden sign and with so many holiday choices out there, it's easy to find one that fits any decor style.

Kitchen Towel Easter Pillow
Have you noticed how pretty dishtowels have become in the last few years? Embellished with embroidery and trim, they're just too nice for kitchen duty.
Instead, I use them in my decor. One year, I made a quick and easy pillow cover for Easter. Towels are just the right size and with the trim already attached, that's one less step in the DIY.
Oh..and sew or no sew, that's up to you.

Dish Towel Bunny Apron
Those same kitchen towels also make handy seasonal aprons, so you can protect your Sunday best while cooking that Easter feast. And since those towels are just the right size for a full length apron, it's another quick and easy sewing DIY that anyone can do.
I promise.

Quick Easter Treats
Super simple desserts that taste great and so easy, the kids can help you make.5 Minute Blueberry Pie
I'm no gourmet cook, but I can look like one with the addition of a bunny cut out on my crowd pleasing, homemade blueberry pie.
And it only takes 5 minutes to prepare. Ok 6, if you count the cut out.

And what's blueberry pie without a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream? So delicious and, again, super simple with a just a few ingredients. And no eggs.
Which is great, since yours are probably all being used in the hunt.

Rainbow Colored Cookies
Last but not least, here's a fun one for the kids. The rainbow cookies I made with my littles and my preschoolers and kindergarteners. If you're not into coloring eggs, it's a great substitute.
Plus, they're a lot less messy and lot more delicious.
Well, like that looney bunny used to say, That's all folks!
I hope you found some ideas that sparked your interest.
Or your taste buds.
And you'll think about them when it comes time to prepare for Easter in your home.
Hippity Hoppity!

Do you decorate for Easter?
Happy Crafting, Friends!

I'm up late because of the time change and just saw your post in my inbox. I can't get over how many cute crafts you've made but those plates with the transfers are crazy good. I'd buy them if you were selling and the card banner is genius. That's a DIY even I could handle. Thanks for the sweet Easter dreams at bedtime! 😉 Anne R.
